For more than 25 years, the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital has been a place where ideas are conceived, nurtured and allowed to develop. Many of the breakthroughs that began as fundamental research at the Lunenfeld have become discoveries taht advance not just medicine, but the quality of life we all enjoy.
Guests will be seated with one of the Institute’s renowned researchers as they discuss their field of study and answer questions. The evening will culminate in a stimulating “lightning round” — a series of brief presentations from several researchers. |

Style & Profyle is a charity club at the University of Toronto at Mississauga that showcases student talent while giving students the opportunity to give back to the community. This year all proceeds from the show are going to the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital. This is both a research and a rehabilitation centre for those who have battled breast cancer. The show features various clothing styles and numerous styles of dance ranging from bollywood and bellydance to jazz and hip hop.

This event is an annual hockey tournament organized by Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) – Local 113. The ATU Local 113 All-Star hockey team plays the NHL Alumni Old-timers to raise funds for multiple sclerosis research at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The Da Vinci Gala, for Thyroid Cancer Care and Research, is in support of the Joseph and Mildred Sonshine Family Centre for Head and Neck Diseases. The gala dinner includes a silent auction, as well as live entertainment. This is the seventh annual Da Vinci Gala, and the 2012 honourees are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Enza Mancinelli.
